นับตั้งแต่ Microsoft ได้ปล่อย Windows 10 ตัวเต็ม ในวันที่ 19 กรกฏาคม 2558 ที่ผ่านมา การอัพเกรดจาก Windows 7, 8 หรือ 8.1 ไปเป็น Windows 10 จะไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ เรียกว่าฟรี !! นั่นเอง แต่หลังจากวันที่ 29 กรกฎาคม ปี 2559 ทางไมโครซอฟท์ยังไม่ได้ประกาศว่าจะให้อัพเกรดได้ฟรีต่อหรือไม่
